——Specialized Container Terminal Operation Zone

　　Projected to form a wharf line of more than 3,700 meters, the operation zone is located on #4 Pier, # 3 Pier, and # 2 Pier of Yantai Port beyond southern part of SanLi River estuary of Zhifu Island. In which, # 3 pier is a newly planned wharf. The specialized container terminal operation zone mainly targets at providing container trunk service, as well as short sea and container feeder service along the coastal area.

——Passenger/RO-RO Central Operation Zone

　　Sitting along both sides of # 1 Pier of Yantai Port, with a wharf line of more than 4000 meters, the passenger/RO-RO Center is mainly engaged in providing marine transportation service for passengers and cargoes through Bohai Bay, as well as port service to passenger liners, yachts, and mainland-island vessels.

——General Operation Zone

　　Projected to form a wharf line of more than 3500 meters, the general operation zone consists of existing and planned port area except the container terminal operation zone and the passenger/RO-RO operation zone. It mainly provides port service for port industry and other pollution free cargoes.

——Trade and Business Logistics Zone

　　Located on established land area of # 1 Pier of Yantai Port, the zone is blueprinted to have reconstruction toward urbanization with a total land area of 1.5 square kilometers.

By referring to successful urbanization experience of domestic and international port cities, and taking full advantage of geographic location, the function of central urban blocks is going to be extended to and enhanced by shore area. The zone will become a high level domestic and international exchange center with exceptional entertainment feature. The area will also promote the image of Yantai city and quality of people's life, inspire the city's vitality, and at the same time offer commodity logistics service for resident's daily use.
