　　Set up in 1953, China Ocean Shipping Agency Yantai is Yantai Port ' s only large-scaled state-owned enterprise which is engaged in international shipping and freight forwarding agency and has passed international certification of ISO9002. Its business scope covers shipping agency, freight agency, container agency, goods import and export, space booking, charter business, storage, freight forwarding, customs declarations, inspection declaration, tourism, international multi-modal transportation by sea, land and air and door-to-door delivery.

　　China Ocean Shipping Agency Yantai is a joint venture invested by both Yantai Port Group Co. Ltd, covering 53% of the shares, and COSCO （ China Ocean Shipping Company ） Logistics, covering 47% of the shares. Therefore, the company has good port conditions and professional handling ability for logistics.

　　Yantai Port, on which the company ' s businesses rely, is located in the northern part of Shandong Peninsula. Ice and silt free, it is known as an excellent natural port in north China and an important foreign trade pivotal port with large expanse of sea area and deep water.

　　For logistics handling, the company is quite familiar with working procedures and requirements of such organizations as port authority, customs, entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau. It has established such good reputation and image in these organizations that import and export formalities can be timely handled and the flow of commodities can be ensured.
