　　Set up in 1950, Yantai Port Hospital covers a land area of 32500 square meters with constructed area of 13600 square meters. It is an A level hospital of 2 nd grade, which integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, rehabilitation and healthcare, and is designated as:

-The teaching hospital for Aiying Hospital, Laiyang Medical School, Yantai Nurse School;

-Internship hospital for Weifang Medical College;

　　In recent years, following the strategy of focusing on developing expertise of special department and through the modes of introduction, re-employment of retired senior experts and self-training, the hospital has senior professionals in every department. By ways of financing and cooperation, the hospital has respectively established Harber Ophthalmology Center, ENT Department and Gynaecology and Obstetrics Center, whose technology level ranks the top in Yantai City.
